Life doesn’t wait for the next session.
One hour in the room. The rest of the week happens everywhere else.
Illustrative weekly scenario: 1 hour in session, 167 hours in between. Not every week is like this, and not everything needs to be shared.
01
A meaningful moment
What happened, how I felt, why it mattered.
02
Time passes
Work, family and the rest of the week carry on.
03
Details fade or stay unspoken
Some details are harder to reconstruct days later. Some things are hard to say out loud.
04
Less reaches the session
“It was a difficult week.” Meaningful context can get lost between the moment and the conversation.

Patient sharing preview, before the patient confirms · Prototype with fictional data
Reflections are not shared with the professional automatically. The patient keeps each reflection private, shares it, or discards it. Before confirming, they see the recipient and what is included: the summary and key points they approved, the tags, their “I want to discuss this” mark if set, and the complete original text. Only that reflection is shared. Sharing doesn’t mean it will be read or answered right away, and in this beta a shared reflection can’t be made private again or deleted. This flow is in the current prototype, tested with fictional data; the professional beta is still being prepared.
THE PROFESSIONAL’S VIEW
Only what the patient chooses to share.
Used to prepare the next session. Clinical judgment stays with the professional.
Kept private · not shown here
SHARED BY THE PATIENT
“I want to discuss why that comment stayed with me.”
With the approved summary and its source reflection.
Discarded · not shown here
THE PATIENT’S SPACE
One reflection.
Three choices.
Capture what matters, share what you choose. A patient puts an experience into words, AI helps organize it, and the patient reviews it before deciding where it goes.
Intended product flow, shown with a synthetic example.
VOICE OR TEXT
“One negative comment stayed with me all evening.”
ORGANIZED WITH AI HELP
A negative comment stayed with me. I kept replaying it all evening.
To discuss: why that comment stayed with me.
✓ The patient reviews and edits
Keep private
Stays in the patient’s space, to reread and revisit. A complete outcome on its own.
Share
Only after the patient explicitly confirms. Then it reaches their professional.
Discard
Goes no further.
✓
For patients: useful even when nothing is shared
Capture it while it’s fresh
Voice or text, in the moment, without waiting for the next appointment.
Find the words
Light AI help to put experiences into words and organize them. The patient stays the author.
Revisit what mattered
Designed so earlier reflections can be revisited before a session, or just for themselves.
Choose what to bring
Designed to let patients mark what to discuss next time, and keep the rest private or discard it.

Prototype, synthetic demo: drafts and private reflections stay in the patient’s space.
Prepare for the session with the context your patient chose to share.

Prototype, synthetic demo: a shared reflection as the professional sees it (fictional, in Italian).
01
Session preparation
Designed to give a concise view of what the patient chose to share since you last met.
02
Patient priorities
Designed to keep what the patient explicitly wants to discuss separate from everything else.
03
Supporting sources
Designed so you can open the source behind a shared summary.
Before the next session, you read what your patient shared; your professional judgment decides what to explore. The prototype is designed to keep three things apart: what the patient reported, what they marked as something to discuss, and any pattern the AI suggests, labeled as a hypothesis to check rather than a finding. Each shared reflection includes the summary the patient approved and their original text, so you can go back to their own words.
Why now: AI is already part of the conversation.
77%
29% → 56%
of surveyed US psychologists reported having spoken with patients who had used AI for support, engagement or other reasons.
Source: American Psychological Association, 2026
of surveyed US psychologists reported using AI for their work at least once in the preceding 12 months: 29% in 2024, 56% in 2025. The most common uses were writing, generating content and summarizing.
These figures describe the changing context, not evidence of MentaLoop’s effectiveness. They come from two different APA surveys and are not directly comparable.
Built around choice.
What the AI does.
Patient-side AI helps put experiences into words and suggests a summary the patient can edit. It is not a therapist, does not diagnose and is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
Who decides what is shared.
The patient. MentaLoop is designed so that each reflection can be kept private, shared with their professional, or discarded.
Where MentaLoop is now.
An early prototype, tested with fictional data. The professional beta is still being prepared.
Interested in MentaLoop’s professional beta?
We’re preparing a free, controlled beta for independent psychologists and psychotherapists in Italy. Other qualified mental-health professionals can register interest too, though this doesn’t confirm eligibility for the initial beta.
MentaLoop is designed to help patients reflect between sessions and choose what they share with their therapist.
If you’re interested in learning more or being considered for the beta, leave your details and we’ll contact you about next steps.
The initial beta is planned for independent psychologists and psychotherapists in Italy, with about three months of active use; the start date is not yet confirmed. Adult patients would join only through their own professional, once readiness and onboarding requirements are met. The beta will test whether patient reflection and intentionally shared context are useful between appointments and before the next session, for patients and for professionals. Participants will share feedback on what helps and what doesn’t.
Registering is an expression of interest only: it doesn’t give access to MentaLoop for use with real patients. Please keep patient information and sensitive health details out of this form.
Who is building it
MentaLoop is built by founder Edoardo Hendrik Calabrese and developed by Liquid Bresaola S.r.l. in Sondrio, Italy. Selected for Liquid Factory Batch 2026.

The session ends. The thread doesn’t.
MentaLoop is being built to keep what matters between sessions in the patient’s hands, and to bring what they choose to share into the next one.
